I AM CUTESWEETPASTRIES

MY STORY
As a former cancer patient, I was inactive and too weak to even sometimes walk. A lot of time was spent in the hospital bed. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hepatoblastoma with only a 10% chance of survival at the age of 2. I am lucky to be a cancer survivor. Now at the age of 16, I have a better understanding of the impact my illness had on me and my family. It was the expertise of my physicians and the love and support of my family and friends that got me through this overwhelming ordeal. I was too young to remember much but I do remember sitting in my hospital bed bored and scared. I looked forward to doing art projects at the activities room and at my bed. This is where I began my journey to recovery and found hope in art. Even now arts and crafts have been my way to relax and to center myself when I am stressed. Art can be experienced by all ages, from 1 to 91 years old. This website is to share my story and also to give art ideas for you and your loved one to do when in the hospital, at home in bed, or just to do just because. My art kits are inspired by Japanese toys called squishies. They are fun, cute foam toys shaped in animals and food. Once completed you will find yourself squeezing them continuously. They become a fun stress-ball like toy that hopefully will bring joy and comfort to the individual who completes them. I hope you find comfort in my story and in my art projects.
This is HOPE in ART.
